In February 1994, Pastor Johnathan Briggs started a bible study in his home at Wando East Apartments, Mt. Pleasant, SC with 5 people in attendance. Obeying the voice of God, he moved the home bible study and began a ministry based on I John 1:3. ("That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.") The location for the new ministry was East Ridge Apartment Club House in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Little did he know that this was the beginning of something great.
In 1996, the ministry moved its location to 1090 Woodland Ave, Mt. Pleasant, SC (behind the Seed and Feed building). It remained there for almost two years. From 1997-1998 (during a season of building the first Church), services were held at Johnson Hall Chapel, located at 440 Venning St., Mt Pleasant, SC.
The first Truth and Fellowship Ministry headquarters "The Hall of Fame", opened in 1998 at 2962 Alonzo Rouse Lane, Mt. Pleasant, SC. Pastor Briggs then launched a second location in North Charleston, SC at 3369-B Ashley Phosphate Rd. This was a great move. The ministry started to grow rapidly.
In 2003, Truth and Fellowship Ministry consolidated both its locations and moved its headquarters to its current location at 3378 Ashley Phosphate Rd. North Charleston, SC. Services are held twice on Sunday (8:30am and 11:00am) and once on Tuesday evening (7:00pm).
In 2004, Pastor Briggs expanded Truth and Fellowship Ministry to another location in his home town of Florence, SC. While renovating a newly purchased building, Bible class was held at the Wingate Inn located at 2123 West Lucas St. Upon Phase I renovation completion in 2007 services were moved to our present location of 1125 West Evans St. Currently services are held on Sunday (11am) and on Tuesday (7:00pm).
As Truth and Fellowship Global Outreach Ministry continues to grow and expand, we celebrate its founder and 29 years of ministry. Senior Pastor Johnathan Briggs is truly a Man, with a Mantle, on a Mission.
